The Centralia College softball team dropped four games in Oregon over the weekend, losing both ends of a doubleheader against Southwestern Oregon on Friday before falling twice to Mt. Hood on Saturday.
The first game against SW Oregon was the closest, as it went to extras before the Lakers walked it off in the bottom of the eighth for a 6-5 win.
Rachel Gray hit a home run, a double, and drove in three runs, while Jimena Luis hit an RBI triple and Natalie Loose hit an RBI single. Ava Hernandez pitched all seven and two-thirds, allowing six runs (four earned) and striking out six.
The Trailblazers lost the second matchup in Coos Bay 21-0.
On Saturday, CC lost 14-6 and 12-2 to Mt. Hood. Luis and Graci Bonney-Spradlin both had two hits in the first game, and Grace Huber drove in a pair of runs. In Game 2, Loose hit a two-run home run.
CC (10-21, 6-14 NWAC) will look to snap its nine-game losing streak at home on Friday in a doubleheader against Chemeketa.
