The Pe Ell boys basketball team bounced back from its first loss with a win over Three Rivers Christian on Tuesday, defeating the Eagles 71-54.
Pe Ell led by just one point at halftime, but scored 43 points in the second half to pull away for a comfortable win.
Mauricio Morales and Calan McCarty helped the Trojans ramp up the pressure defensively in the third quarter, and the offense settled in with a 20-point frame.
Four Trojans finished with 10 or more points, including Jacob Hayes (19), Blake Nelson (18), and McCarty (16), Silas Edgar added 12 points and led the team with six rebounds, while McCarty led the defense with three steals.
The Trojans (3-1, 1-0 1B CVL) will be back at home on Saturday, when they host Willapa Valley.
