The Tumwater boys basketball team defeated Shelton in its final game of the regular season on Friday, winning 54-30.
The T-Birds took control early by allowing just three points in the first quarter, and they took a 28-12 lead into the break at halftime.
They had another stellar defensive quarter in the third by allowing just four points, and by the time the fourth quarter began, they led by 28.
Sahara Anthony and Luke Overbay led the way with 10 apiece, while Joshua Schlecht, Julian Balsley, and Braeden Konrad each added six. Jake Dillon scored five, and Bryce Morgan scored four.
Tumwater (15-5) will host Columbia River in the first round of the 2A District 4 Tournament on Saturday.
