The Tumwater boys basketball team began its season with a win on Friday, taking down Tenino 75-43.
Tumwater trailed after the first quarter, but scored 46 points over the next two frames to build a massive lead.
Sahara Anthony led the T-Birds in points with 16, and he also dished out four assists. Landon Anchors scored 14 points, grabbed eight rebounds, and tallied four assists of his own, and Beckett Wall scored 13 points, logged six rebounds, and had five assists.
Bryce Morgan scored 11 points and notched seven assists, and Braeden Konrad scored eight points while also adding eight rebounds and four assists.
Austin Gonia led the Beavers with 14 points, while Will Feltus and Preston Snider added eight.
The T-Birds (1-0) will hit the road for the first time on Monday to face Kelso, while the Beavers (0-6) will return home to host Ocosta on Tuesday.
