Tumwater’s Alexandra Broome impressed on Wednesday, finishing first among all runners by nearly a minute in an EvCo meet involving Tumwater, Centralia, and Aberdeen.

Broome won the girls race in 20:37.7 seconds, 50 seconds ahead of the next-closest runner.

That runner was Centralia’s Liesl Stout, who finished in 21:27.2, ahead of Eva Stout and Ellie Stout, who took third and fourth at 21:52.5 and 22:00.0.

Less than a second behind Ellie Stout was Centralia’s Esther Hopkins and Tumwater’s Juliet Fox, who crossed the line in 20:00.6 and 20:01.0 to finish in fifth and sixth.

With the help of four top-5 finishers, Centralia finished first as a team with 22 points, 14 ahead of Tumwater.
