Two Washington residents were injured Wednesday after their vehicle hit a ditch and struck a fence off state Route 508 east of Napavine, according to the Washington State Patrol.
Barbara J. Bennett, 63, of Packwood, and Mel T. Romero, 42, of Fircrest, were transported to Providence Centralia Hospital following the incident.
Troopers said both were wearing seat belts.
According to WSP, Bennett was driving a 2008 Acura RDX eastbound on Route 508 at about 4:20 p.m. when her vehicle left the roadway and entered the westbound ditch.
The collision with the fence occurred near milepost 3, troopers said.
WSP indicated no drugs or alcohol were involved in the incident.
