A woman and a man were shot to death early Sunday morning around Belltown in separate shootings, according to the Seattle Police Department, with two others wounded in one of the incidents.
Around 12:42 a.m., police received reports of two shooting victims, one at the 300 block of Clay Street and the other at the 300 block of Denny Way.
The man found at the 300 Denny Way was transported in critical condition Harborview Medical Center, but died there despite life-saving efforts, according to the blotter.
The other man was transported to Harborview in serious condition, and later two other gunshot victims — a woman and a man — walked into the hospital for treatment.
Police have been able to confirm that an altercation involving three people occurred on the street shortly before the shooting," according to the blotter.
Around 2 a.m., officers responded after receiving reports of a shooting near Blanchard Street and Third Avenue, according to the department's police blotter.
At the scene, they "found a woman inside a vehicle suffering from gunshot wounds to head and torso" and was transported to Harborview Medical Center in critical condition, where she later died.
The vehicle the woman had been in was parked, and the suspect fired multiple shots into it, hitting the victim before leaving, the blotter said.
Police do not have a suspect in custody, "and are working to determine the circumstances that led up to the shooting, according to the blotter.
