In response to the recent flooding that has impacted communities across Lewis County, the United Way of Lewis County has mobilized to support recovery efforts by coordinating financial assistance for those affected.
The organization has activated a Flood Relief Fund to provide direct assistance to individuals and families impacted by flooding throughout the county.
Funds will be distributed through an application process administered by Lewis County Emergency Management, ensuring aid reaches those with the greatest and most immediate need, according to a United Way of Lewis County news release.
United Way of Lewis County is working closely with Lewis County Emergency Management and the Lewis County government to ensure impacted residents receive timely and appropriate support as recovery efforts continue.
“United Way exists to bring people together in times of need,” Annie Oien, executive director of United Way of Lewis County, said in a news release. “Our community has once again stepped up to care for one another, and this fund will help families stabilize, clean up, and begin the recovery process.”
