A significant landslide and subsequent slope destabilization occurred along a section of Forest Road 25 at milepost 26 in June 2023.
This caused the southern end of the road to be closed for a period of time while road crews worked to stabilize and rebuild the section of road.
Repairs have been completed, and as of 6 p.m. Friday, Sept. 19, Forest Road 25 is accessible again from the south.
Although the southern portion of the road is now open, Forest Road 25 is still not a through route, according to a news release from the U.S. Forest Service.
The northern portion of Forest Road 25 is still closed for the Huffaker Bridge replacement near Randle at mile 7.66.
