The U.S. Marshals Pacific Northwest Violent Offender Task Force (PNVOTF) arrested a fugitive Tuesday, Aug. 18, who was wanted on a felony warrant for dealing child sexual abuse material, according to a news release from the U.S. Marshals.

Beau Saperstein, 41, was wanted by the Seattle Police Department on charges of dealing in depictions of a minor engaged in sexually explicit conduct in the first degree and possession of depictions of a minor engaged in sexually explicit conduct in the first degree. The warrant was issued Feb. 25 and had a $50,000 bond.

Members of the PNVOTF located Saperstein in the 600 block of South King Street, Seattle, and arrested him without incident.

After his arrest, Saperstein made numerous medical complaints. He was evaluated and cleared by medical personnel before being booked into the King County Jail.

“The PNVOTF continues to demonstrate its commitment to protecting our communities by relentlessly pursuing dangerous fugitives, including sexual predators,” Acting U.S. Marshal Donrien Stephens said in the release. “I commend the team for their dedication and professionalism in bringing this individual to justice and helping keep our communities safe.”

The PNVOTF is a U.S. Marshals-led partnership of federal, state and local law enforcement officers from Washington, Oregon and Alaska.

The PNVOTF’s primary mission is to locate, apprehend and return the most violent and egregious federal and state fugitives to the justice system.
