The Mossyrock girls basketball team got its first win of the season in the most dominant of fashions Thursday, blowing out Three Rivers Christian 73-4.

“We played really well as a team,” Mossyrock coach Autumn Moorcroft said.

Delaney Marshall scored 14 points to lead the Vikings (1-3, 1-0 1B CVL), while her younger sister Renzy had 12.

Chesney Schultz had 10 points and led Mossyrock with five rebounds, while Abbie Lovan and Taylor Schwartz both scored nine points. Lovan led the defensive effort with six steals; as a team, the Vikings had 27.

Mossyrock led 25-1 after a quarter of play, and held TRC to nothing more than that one free throw for the next two quarters, going into the fourth up 63-1. The Eagles hit their only field goal of the game from long range in the final period.

The Vikings will go back to non-league action with a game at Tenino on Friday, then return to league action with a rivalry game at Naselle on Monday.
