Vikings hammer Acorns early

The Mossyrock football team blitzed Oakville for 44 points in the opening 12 minutes and rolled to an easy 52-12 victory Friday in both teams’ regular season finale.

Zack Munoz scored once on the ground and once through the air, finishing with 93 total yards between five rushes and one reception. Marshall Brockway, Luke Kooper, Kyle Brockway, Michael Rios and Easton Kolb all found their way into the end zone as well for the Vikings (7-1, 5-0 SW1B), who stayed perfect in 8-man games this season.

Wylde Greisen added 37 rushing yards for Mossyrock, and Marshall Brockway had 31.



Andres Rhoades slotted in behind center for the Acorns, and finished 13 for 26 for 142 yards and a touchdown. Eight of those catches, 115 of those yards and the score went to Daniel Rodas. Jeremy Wilbur got into the end zone on a 3-yard run in the fourth quarter as well for Oakville.

Both Mossyrock and Oakville will play in district crossover matchups next weekend.
