The Mossyrock boys basketball team hung on to defeat Columbia Adventist on Tuesday, clinging to an early lead for a 66-60 win.

It was senior night for the Vikings (12-6, 10-2 1B Columbia Valley), who came out aggressive on the defensive end. They were able to convert turnovers into easy buckets in transition, and they led by 14 at halftime.

In the second half, the Kodiaks came clawing back, but Mossyrock was able to hold on for the win.

After halftime we tried to regain the energy but had a tough time sustaining it and let them climb back in,” Mossyrock assistant coach Kelly Ross said. “In the end, we were able to get stops when it counted and found open teammates for lay-ins to seal the victory.”

Hunter Isom led the way with 23 points and 14 rebounds, while Tyce Vigre added 13 points and seven assists. Easton Kolb added seven points and eight assists, while Zack Munoz tallied 12 points.

Mossyrock will hit the road for its final game of the regular season, as they’ll go to Willapa Valley on Friday.
