The Mossyrock volleyball team got its 2022 season off in style, welcoming 2B Toutle Lake to its court and sending the Ducks home in sweeping fashion,  25-20, 25-17, 25-21.

Erin Cournyer  and Payton Torrey both paced a strong serving effort for the Vikings with five aces apiece;  the team finished with  19 total. Torrey led the offense with 12 kills, while also putting up 10 digs on defense.

Paige Houghtelling added six kills of her own along with a pair of blocks. Cournyer and Caelyn Marshall both finished with 13 assists.

Mossyrock (1-0) will stay a rung up on the classification ladder to face Adna on Monday.
