Assured Hospice and Village Concepts of Chehalis have announced they will be hosting a free Virtual Dementia Tour from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 15, at Village Concepts of Chehalis, 2100 SW Woodland Circle.
Assured Hospice will facilitate the fully immersive experience, which is designed to give participants a glimpse into what everyday life can feel like for someone living with Alzheimer’s disease or another form of dementia.
Participants experience altered sensory input while completing everyday tasks, helping build a deeper understanding of the confusion, frustration and challenges dementia patients may experience.
The event is free and open to the public. Tours are limited to five participants per group, per hour. Larger groups are welcome but should call ahead.
