Visiting Nurses Foundation Holds Fundraiser for New Pet Peace of Mind Partnership

Posted

The Visiting Nurses Foundation has started a new partnership with Assured Hospice and Pet Peace of Mind.

A fundraiser is set to celebrate the partnership this week.

Pet Peace of Mind is a nationwide organization dedicated to helping those in hospice care for and keep their pets as well as help find those pets new homes when it becomes necessary.

Donations of pet food, toys and other pet care items can be dropped off at either Visiting Nurses Foundation Thrift Store. The Centralia store is located at 222 South Pearl St. and the Chehalis location is at 435 NW Chehalis Ave.

Sunday, Feb. 26, is the last day of the fundraiser. Thrift store hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.

Cash donations can also be made online at https://visitingnursesfoundation.org/support-us.

Additionally, Visiting Nurses and Assured Hospice are looking for local volunteers to assist with walking dogs and fostering pets for Pet Peace of Mind.

For more information on how to volunteer, email Visiting Nurses Foundation Executive Director Jacki Jewell at vndirector@localaccess.com.
