Visitors welcome at 14 ARTrails studios across greater Lewis County this weekend

Posted

ARTrails of Southwest Washington, a nonprofit that joins local artists of all kinds, will host the final stretch of its annual studio tour this weekend, with 14 locations in Lewis and South Thurston counties opening for the public from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

The studio tour is free for all visitors, offering a chance for people of varied interests to witness the work of 33 artists across the area.

“You will have the opportunity to support local arts and artists by purchasing original artwork at each studio as well as at the Exhibition Gallery,” states the ARTrails flier for the September tour. “As you take the tour, we hope you enjoy the other pleasures of Southwest Washington. … Check our website for local tourism and lodging information and plan on spending the weekend.”

The tour began with a kick-off celebration in Centralia on Friday, Sept. 15 before studios opened last weekend. The self-guided tours begin again on Saturday, Sept. 23.
