Volunteers needed for Lewis County Business Academy

With the annual Lewis County Business Academy on the horizon, event organizers Kiddin’ Around have announced the need for community volunteers.

The Business Academy will be held at Centralia College, with volunteers needed on Thursday, Dec. 17.

“Give your time, share your skills, and be a part of something that makes a difference for students in our community!” event organizers shared in the news release.

Residents can volunteer to be a shareholder from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., an investor from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m., or both.

Volunteering is open to everyone, with no experience required.

The Lewis County Business Academy will bring together students from Centralia and W.F. West high schools and the business community for a week-long program centered around real-world learning.

Students will have the opportunity to experience what it takes to build and operate a business while developing skills in areas such as teamwork, leadership, communication, finance and entrepreneurship, while experiencing life on campus at Centralia College.
