Warriors Drop Another Tight Game to Bulldogs

Posted

Falling in another close contest, the Rochester boys basketball team couldn’t quite get over the hump in a 49-45 non-league loss to Montesano Tuesday night.

The Warriors went back and forth with the Bulldogs all game, and after trailing at the half tied the game up thanks to a 15-9 spurt in the third quarter, heading into a deadlocked fourth.

But a couple more buckets went the way of Monte, and the Warriors fell in their non-league finale at home Tuesday night.

Renz Payne again led Rochester with 12 points, and was the only Warrior in double figures.

The Warriors return to league play against Black Hills on Thursday in their second-to-last contest of the season.
