Leading through three quarters, the Rochester boys basketball team couldn’t quite hang on in a league battle with Aberdeen, falling at home, 51-49, Wednesday night.

The Warriors held on to a 38-36 advantage through three quarters, and though they traded buckets with the Bobcats, Aberdeen got the last laugh in the win, led by Baylor Ainsworth’s 15 points.

Rochester got a game-high 19 points from Renz Payne, and Carson Rotter added another 11, but it wasn’t enough to get a league victory.

The Warriors host Shelton for another 2A Evergreen battle on Friday.
