Warriors Trip Up Against Aberdeen

Posted

The Rochester softball team broke up its scoreless streak, but fell behind and couldn’t make up enough ground in an 8-4 loss to Aberdeen on the road Friday afternoon.

Layna Demers hit a solo home run, and Cheyenne Justice had a run scored and a base hit, but the Warriors again couldn’t plate enough runs to make up for five errors and eight runs allowed by its defense.

Demers threw a complete game in the circle, allowing the eight runs — with five earned — on nine hits and a walk with eight strikeouts.

The Warriors will hope to put their recent losses behind them with a make-up game against Black Hills Saturday at home at 4:30 p.m.
