WDFW Seeks Bids for 7-Acre Property in South Thurston County

The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) is putting a 7-acre property southwest of Olympia up for sale through a closed bidding process, according to a WDFW news release. 

Located at 9125 Gate Road SW, the property includes a 1,406-square-foot home built in 1931, detached garage, four barns and a pump house. The minimum appraised value of the property is $375,000. 

Interested bidders can view the property by appointment only. To request a view of the property and receive a bid package, email surplusproperties@dfw.wa.gov. 



Completed bid packages and payments must be received and date-stamped by the WDFW no later than 5 p.m. on May 30. Bidders will be notified of their bid outcomes in early June, according to the release. 

“Selling the property enables the (WDFW) to pursue other land acquisitions that support its mission. The Fish and Wildlife Commission authorized the property’s sale in August 2022,” the release stated.
