W.F. West nearly hit triple-digits in Aberdeen on Friday, running away with a dominant 97-27 victory over the Bobcats.

W.F. West raced out to a 31-4 lead after one and were up 61-15 at the break before adding 36 more points in the second half.

Dilyn Boeck led all scorers with 23 points, Joy Cushman added 19, and Izzy Teeter and Kaitlyn Chloupek added 13 and 10, respectively, to also hit double-figures.

Melissa Baine, Mallory Gaskill, and Amanda Linwood all added seven points, while Caroline Buzzard scored four and Hadley Hoffman tallied three.

Not only did all nine Bearcats get on the board, but all nine did so in the first half.

“That is pretty cool, and it’s something that’s kind of hard to do,” W.F. West coach Kyle Karnofski said. “We played a lot of girls, we played real deep, and we got a lot of girls good minutes and good shot attempts. The depth has been what’s fun for us this year.”

The Bearcats (15-4, 8-0 C2BL) will wrap up its season next week. First, they’ll host Shelton on Tuesday, where they’ll honor their five seniors: Hoffman, Buzzard, Linwood, Dayani Ojeda, and Madi Baine. After that, they’ll head to Centralia for the second Swamp Cup meeting of the season.

“Our girls are excited to honor them,” W.F. West coach Kyle Karnofski said. “It’s a good week to finish the regular season.”
