For the sixth straight postseason, the Bearcats recorded a top-five team finish at the Class 1A/2A state tournament held at Bowlero Lanes in Tukwila. While they have held a home inside the top-three, this version of W.F. West placed fourth with a pin total of 6,653.
Rochester, in its first-ever trip to state as a team, registered a seventh place performance with 6,099 pins over the two-day tournament. The Warriors were in fifth place after the individual session, but struggled in 14 baker games.
Their best score was a 173 and only two other games were the scores above 140. W.F. West were consistently in the 130s and 140s and had a couple blowout games of 159, 161 and a 176 in Baker Game 13, one of the highest among the 12 participating teams.
Hudson’s Bay won the team title with 7,571 pins.
