The superintendent of the White Pass School District in East Lewis County has been arrested in connection with possession and distribution of child sexual abuse material, according to the Longview Police Department.
At about 9 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2026, the Longview Police Department arrested Greggery Ray Teel, 52, of Kelso, following an extensive investigation, according to a news release from the department.
“Greggery Teel is currently employed as the Superintendent of the White Pass School District,” the department wrote. “At this time, there is no evidence indicating that any students within the district were involved. Detectives began the investigation after receiving multiple referrals from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC). The reports originated from an electronic service provider and identified several online accounts suspected of uploading and sharing illegal images involving minors. Throughout the investigation, Longview Police detectives worked in coordination with NCMEC and multiple electronic service providers. Through court-authorized search warrants, investigators obtained subscriber records, account information, and internet usage data that linked the reported online activity to a residential address in Kelso, Washington, the residence of Greggery Teel.”
According to the release, the investigation identified multiple online accounts, email addresses and internet connections used to upload and distribute the reported material. Records from internet, email and mobile phone providers consistently returned to the same individual, address and verified telephone number, according to the release.
“Additional CyberTip reports received during the investigation confirmed ongoing activity involving the same accounts and further strengthened the connection between the suspect and the reported offenses,” the police department stated. “As a result of the investigation, detectives developed and executed a plan to arrest Teel on the morning of January 13, 2026. He was taken into custody without incident, and a search warrant was executed at his residence.”
