The Black Hills boys basketball team dropped its second straight game, as the Wolves lost to Shelton 58-40 on Wednesday.

The Highclimbers jumped out to an 11-8 lead after the first quarter and led 27-14 at the break, and while the Wolves (2-3, 1-1 2A EvCo) were able to turn it on with a scoring outburst in the third that trimmed the lead to 10, the deficit was too much to overcome.

Quinton Morrill led the way with 18 points, while Talon Morrill scored 10.

The Wolves are back in action on Friday, when they’ll go south for a matchup with W.F. West.
