The Black Hills girls basketball team picked up another crucial league win on Tuesday, defeating Centralia 63-48.

The win puts the Wolves just one win or one Tumwater loss away from clinching the No. 2 seed for the upcoming district tournament. The top two seeds not only avoid a pigtail game, but they also get to host a first-round matchup.

Tyler Venable led the way for Black Hills in Centralia with 20 points and four assists, and Ellie Johnson posted a double-double with 15 points and 12 rebounds and also nabbed five steals.

Kylie McMahon added 11 points, three rebounds, and three assists, and Natalie Buchanan just missed a double-double of her own with nine points and 12 rebounds.

Maddie Ahern led the Tigers with 17 points, Brooklyn Sprague tallied 12, and Makenzie Erickson scored 10.

Both teams will be back on Thursday, as Centralia (5-14, 0-9 2A EvCo) will finish its season at W.F. West and Black Hills (12-7, 5-4 2A EvCo) will look to secure the No. 2 seed with a win against Aberdeen.
