The Black Hills volleyball team had few issues at all Thursday in Rochester, as the Wolves blasted their way to a 25-6, 25-10, 25-8 sweep in 2A EvCo play.

Ashley Harris put down 14 kills for the Wolves (7-3, 6-1 2A EvCo) and also had eight digs, four aces and three blocks.

Claire Johnson had a team-high five aces to go along with five kills, while Ellie Johnson had six kills, Ella Goheen had four and Ava Klovas had four kills, three digs and three aces.

Lilly Kincaid dished out 15 assists and dropped in four aces.

Lexi Dupont had five kills to go along with an ace and a block for the Warriors (0-11, 0-7 2A EvCo), while Maddie Angwood, Natalie Bennett and McKenna Vassar did their best to hold steady against a constant Black Hills attack.

“We struggled a bit,” Rochester coach Bridget Morris said. “We were on the defensive a lot and they were swinging away.”

Rochester is set to participate in R.A. Long’s tournament this weekend before coming to Centralia to continue EvCo play next Tuesday. Black Hills will be off until Tuesday, when it faces Tumwater at home in a Pioneer Bowl rematch. The T-Birds swept the Wolves in three sets back on Sept. 14.
