Medical examiners identified the 37-year-old woman struck and killed by a car that crashed into her Vancouver home Thursday as Danielle Abrahams.

Abrahams was pinned underneath the car, and died after being unable to breathe, according to the Clark County Medical Examiner’s office.

Vancouver fire and police responded to reports of a crash in the 2600 block of Unander Avenue around 6:40 p.m., and found a car inside a house. A rescue team worked to ensure the house wouldn’t collapse on first responders, the fire department said.

Investigators believe the driver hit a curb at a “high rate of speed,” sending the car through a fence and into the house, police said. The driver has not been identified.

The crash injured two other people living in the house, and they have had to move, officials with Vancouver Fire said.

The driver faces “pending” charges of driving under the influence and vehicular homicide, police said.
