A woman who died after she crashed her car on a south Thurston County road has been identified, according to the Thurston County Coroner.

About 8:45 a.m. Monday, Doris Trueax, 55, of Rochester was headed north in the 16700 block of Case Road Southwest north of Grand Mound.

Trueax drifted over the center line, according to the Thurston County Sheriff's Office, and crashed into another car. She then drove off the road, the vehicle rolled and she was ejected from it, The Olympian reported.

The cause of death was the result of multiple blunt force injuries, Coroner Gary Warnock said Tuesday.

The people in the other car are believed to have suffered minor injuries, although they had to be freed from the vehicle by West Thurston Fire crews.

Case Road was closed Monday morning, so drivers were asked to use Littlerock Road or Interstate 5 to get around the area.
