Wrestling Roundup: Tigers take 2A EvCo dual over Warriors

The Centralia wrestling team earned a lopsided win over Rochester on Thursday, defeating the Warriors 54-18.

Four Tigers won their match via pins, including Jocelyn Novarro (106), Doba Denetclaw (126), Lafell Denetclaw (144), and Dashba Denetclaw (150).

Jesus Campos (120) and Izaiah Marquez (157) won their matches by tech fall, and Miles Page (138) and Joseph King (175) won their matches by decision. Ramona Reinitz (113) and Hunter Vanderhoff (132) won by forfeit.

While the Tigers had their way most of the night, the Warriors had a few standouts, including Jack Done (215), who logged Rochester’s only pin of the night.

Chris Tartios (165) and Nolan Hudson (190) both won via decision, and Jaden Nichols earned a win by forfeit.



The Tigers return to the mat on Wednesday when they host Black Hills, while the Warriors host Tenino on Tuesday.

Thunderbirds top Wolves in rivalry dual

Tumwater hosted Black Hills in a rivalry match on Thursday, and the Thunderbirds came away with a 52-16 victory.

Both teams will head south on Wednesday for their nest duals, as Tumwater will face W.F. West and Black Hills will head to Centralia.
