Beavers start strong but fall to Highclimbers

The Tenino volleyball team got off to a quick start on Tuesday, but Shelton kicked it into gear to hand the Beavers a 19-25, 25-19, 25-23, 25-20 loss.

“Communication killed us tonight,” Tenino coach Shauna Carpenter said. “Proud of the younger players tonight they really stepped up.”

Brianna Asay tallied 19 digs, eight kills, one assist, and one ace while also going perfect from the service line. 

Katen Burkhardt dished out 19 assists and also delivered three aces, while Savannah Golovanov logged seven digs and three kills. Kylee Petrick totalled five blocks, four kills, and two aces.

Tenino will be right back at it on Wednesday at Eatonville.
