Pirates shut out Warriors behind ground game, defense

The Adna High School football team went back in time to a previous era of football, utilizing an effective rushing attack and a defensive masterpiece to silence Cle Elum-Roslyn 42-0 on Friday night.

Beau Miller notched 138 of the Pirates’ 156 rushing yards, scoring twice on 15 carries. Both of Layden York’s touchdown passes were to Gavan Muller. Muller hauled in five catches for 80 yards against the Warriors while York went 8-for-11 throwing for 84 yards. 



Backup QB Trevin Salme tossed a touchdown in three completions. Defensively, Steven O’Dell paced Adna with 12 total tackles while Miller had a sack, interception and defensive touchdown. Luke Mohney notched 8.5 tackles with a forced fumble.

The Pirates will return home to host Tenino on Friday.
