The Onalaska volleyball team opened its season with a win on Tuesday, as the Loggers downed Raymond South-Bend 27-25, 25-17, 25-19.

“We played very up and down tonight,” Onalaska coach Susan Gordon said. “We just never got in a rhythm offensively at all. We had some great moments, then stumbled a little. But we were able to pull it out and get the win so that was good.”

Emalie Jacoby picked up where she left off, tallying 21 digs, 17 kills, and four aces. Leah Hamilton recorded nine kills and three aces, while Capri McGraw finished with 13 digs. Faith Hammer and Karsyn Koenig led the team with three blocks each.

The Loggers will hit the road for the first time on Monday, when they’ll head to Mossyrock.
