Sandridge’s hat-trick leads Loggers past Grizzlies

Onalaska’s Kaiyah Sandridge had another game to remember on Tuesday, as she scored three goals to lead Onalaska to a 3-1 win in Hoquiam.

It’s her second consecutive scoring at least three goals , as she scored four goals in Onalaska’s 5-1 win over South Bend last Saturday. Randi Haight scored the other goal in that game, a goal that was assisted by Sandridge.

Sandridge got the Loggers (2-1) on the board in the 20th minute, and she added two more just four minutes apart in the second half.

Onalaska’s defense would have pitched a shutout if not for some late confusion. After a late penalty kick, the Loggers subbed in a new back four. No one heard the whistle to continue play except the Grizzlies, who rolled by and scored in the 72nd minute.

Sandridge and the Loggers will look to keep rolling on Thursday when they head south to take on King’s Way Christian.
