20-year-old man shot in Vancouver dies of injuries

A 20-year-old man shot in Vancouver Saturday has died, police said.

Vancouver police found the victim in a parking lot in the 11800 block of Southeast Mill Plain Boulevard around 2:20 a.m. and took him to a hospital. The shooter had fled the scene, they said.

Police canvassed the area with the help of a canine unit, but could not find the shooter.

Police said Sunday that the 20-year-old, who they have not yet identified, was not expected to survive.



They confirmed Tuesday he had died. The Clark County Medical Examiner’s Office will release his identity, cause and manner of death.

The Vancouver Police Department’s Major Crimes Team is still investigating the shooting. They have asked anyone with information to call the department’s tip line: 360-487-7399.
