ADNA — Adna’s Cole Fay and Elmer Loose each scored three touchdowns to lead the Pirates to a 48-6 win over Onalaska in a SWW 2B League Mountain Division football game.

With the win the Pirates finish second in the Mountain Division and will host Coastal Division No. 3 Raymond next week in a crossover game. Onalaska finished fourth in the Mountain Division and will travel to face top-ranked River Division champion Kalama in a crossover game next week.

Adna’s Cole Fay ran for 178 yards on 17 carries, and Loose added 121 yards on 10 carries. Chance Fay added 47 yards on four carries with a touchdown.

Conner Weed completed 9 of 10 passes for 127 yards, and Camden Ryan caught four passes for 49 yards to lead the Pirates.

Ashton Haight led the Loggers on the ground with 134 yards on 34 carries, and quarterback Lucas Kreger added 80 yards on 11 carries.

“Those coaches did a great job with those kids. They played very physical. I was impressed with how many young kids they play, how they bought into that system,” Adna coach K.C. Johnson said. “It came down to our athleticism. Our athletes were able to do things faster than they were and it was impressive with how we blocked up front.”

Cole Fay scored on an 18-yard touchdown run to start the scoring, and Loose ran in a score from 11 yards out for a 14-0 lead after the first quarter.

Cole Fay scored his second of the game on a 1-yard run, but Onalaska answered before halftime with a Hazen Inman 1-yard run for a 21-6 Pirate lead at the break.

Fay’s third touchdown of the night came on a 70-yard run. Loose scored the next two touchdowns with runs of 53 and 30 yards, and Chance Fay capped the scoring with a 34-yard scamper to the end zone.

“It was a classic late October, wet football game. It was not real muddy, the fields held up and it was a hard fought battle,” Johnson said. “Hats off to our kids for making plays and being athletes.”

Adna ended the regular season 8-1 overall and 5-1 in the Mountain Division, while Onalaska finished 5-4 overall and 3-3 in the division.

Pe Ell-Willapa Valley Trounces Raymond for Coastal Division Crown

RAYMOND — Pe Ell-Willapa Valley’s Peter Hamilton and Max Smith ran wild against Raymond here on Friday night, helping the Titans to a 45-7 victory and earn the top spot in the SWW 2B Coastal Division.

PWV will host Toutle Lake next week in a crossover game in Menlo.

“It feels good, the boys came out and played hard. Raymond was coming off a big win, it was a good challenge,” PWV coach Josh Fluke said. “We started off slow in the first quarter, but we did a few adjustments and the boys stepped it up and played hard the rest of the three quarters.”

Hamilton ran for 228 yards on 24 carries and two touchdowns and Smith added 126 yards on 16 carries and two scores.

Titan quarterback Matt Pearson completed 7 of 9 passes for 110 yards and a touchdown and also ran in a score. Ryan Shepherd caught five passes for 89 yards.

Raymond scored the first points of the game on a Patrick Edwards 1-yard run. Hamilton answered with a 16-yard rushing touchdown, but the two-point conversion failed to allow Raymond a 7-6 lead after one quarter.

Smith scored on an 8-yard run and Pearson threw a 23-yard touchdown pass to Cub Bair to push the Titans to a 18-7 halftime lead.

It was all PWV in the second half, starting with Smith’s second touchdown on a 19-yard run and was followed up with a Pearson 1-yard rushing score.

Tyson Nissell scored on a 3-yard run and Hamilton ended the scoring with his second touchdown of the game on a 34-yard run.

“Defense wise, we were running by the runner, we weren’t playing well on defense. Offense, we weren’t staying with blocks. When we started doing that, we started getting yards,” Fluke said. “Our defense was flying all over the field, we shut them down after that first quarter.”

The Titan defense held the Seagulls to 108 yards of total offense.

PWV ends the season 7-2 overall and 5-0 in the Coastal Division.

Tigers Crush Warriors in Regular Season Finale

NAPAVINE — The Tigers looked ready for the playoffs against Chief Leschi, as Napavine earned a 48-0 win in a SWW 2B LEague Mountain Division football game here on Friday night.

Napavine already locked up the Mountain Division crown and will host the Coastal Division No. 4 South Bend next week in a crossover game.

“I thought we played well. We were able to work on some things we feel like we need to work on going into the playoffs,” Napavine coach Josh Fay said. “They gave us a different look we might see down the road. They ran a lot of spread stuff, which is good for us to work with. It was good to get contributions from all of our guys, they did a good job.”

Napavine quarterback Dawson Stanley ran for 30 yards on three carries and a touchdown and was 4 of 9 passing for 101 yards and two touchdowns.

Cole Van Wyck led the way on the ground with four rushes for 57 yards, and Drayven Riddle was the leading receiver with two catches for 54 yards and a score.

The Tigers scored 21 points in the first quarter, starting off with a Kyson Newcomb 10-yard run. Stanley ran in the next score from nine yards out, and was followed by Van Wyck with a 3-yard touchdown.

Stanley started off the second quarter with two touchdown passes, the first to Riddle from 39 yards out and the second to Noah Lantz for a 27-yard score.

Riddle added a 14-yard run and Tanner Lowe scored the final touchdown on a 14-yard jaunt.

It was senior night in Napavine and the big lead allowed Fay to play all of his seniors and many of his younger players.

“It’s always nice to send your seniors out. We got some guys that put in a heck of a lot of time,” Fay said. “We have 14 of them and they are a big part of our program. It was nice to send those guys out on a positive note on the regular season.”

Napavine finished the regular season 8-1 with a 5-0 mark in the Mountain Division.

Toledo Rolls Past Winlock

TOLEDO — Toledo totaled 308 yards on the ground against Winlock to help the Indians sprint to a 47-0 win in a SWW 2B League River Division game here on Friday.

“We played well, we’ve been focusing on not turning the ball over. Zero turnovers, that was one of goals and if we can keep that up, we can beat almost anybody,” Toledo coach Mike Christensen said. “Defensively, I thought we had a good game plan. They have a good rushing attack and keeping them to 73 rushing yard is a testament to how well they played.”

Wallace scored the first three touchdowns, all in the first quarter, on runs of 4, 79 and 10 yards for a 20-0 lead after a quarter.

Hunter Eaton returned an interception 41 yards for a score and Cherrington rumbled into the end zone from 5 yards out for a 34-0 halftime lead.

Buck scored the final two touchdowns in the third quarter on runs of three and one yard to complete the win.

Toledo finished the regular season 5-4 overall and 3-2 in the River Division, while Winlock ended its season 2-7 overall and 1-4 in the division.
