In an incredibly low-scoring and mostly clean pitcher’s duel, Aberdeen softball came out on top against Black Hills, 1-0.
Wolves pitcher Zoey Theophilus fanned 13 batters and walked just four in a complete effort, but a late single given up doomed Black Hills to a loss.
Aberdeen’s pitcher allowed no runs or walks and struck out 18 Wolves batters, tossing a no-hitter. Her perfect game was spoiled by a dropped third strike in the fourth inning.
The Wolves will look to rebound against Rochester Wednesday on the road at 4:30 p.m.
