The Oakville girls basketball team pulled away from North River on Thursday, winning its 1B Coastal Leaguer opener 52-21.
Defending 1BCL MVP Alyssa Forsythe scored 16 points to lead the Acorns, and Vivi Cruz pitched in 13. Both Andrea Mendez Castro and Ava Boyd scored six.
Oakville (1-1, 1-0 1B Coastal) will be right back in action Friday, hosting Quilcene.
