Ignited by shutdown pitching from Luke Hartley and Adam Elder, the Chehalis Little League baseball team out of District 3 defeated Pacific from District 1, 9-0 on Sunday afternoon at Aberdeen in the second round of the state tournament.

The victory puts the Bearcats into the championship final four and will face the District 8 winner North Central on Tuesday at 11 a.m.

Chehalis lit up the scoreboard with a three-run second, added another in the middle innings and Elder launched a two-run home run late for insurance.

Hartley tossed over three innings on the bump and Elder finished the deal with 2.1 innings pitched. Wyatt Alexander notched three hits for the Bearcats while Hank Elam recorded two with a double.
