The Oakville boys basketball team was on triple-digit watch through halftime, but just barely fell off the pace in the second half against North River, settling for an 89-36 beatdown Thursday in non-league play.

The Acorns led 57-16 after a 34-point second quarter, and went into the fourth at 73, ending up with their highest point total of the season thus far.

Courtney Price and Eddie Klatush both filled out just about every bit of the statsheet to lead the way. Price had more points, logging 29 to go along with nine blocks, six rebounds, and three steals. For his part, Klatush got over the threshold for a double-double, adding 13 assists to his 20 points and also coming away with seven steals and five rebounds.

Shayden Baker scored 11 points and hauled in six rebounds, and Gio Rodas had 12 points and a pair of steals.

The Acorns (5-0) will face Quilcene on Friday.
