In its first action of the season, the Adna girls golf team fell to Elma Thursday afternoon, 285-328.

Parker Feist led the Pirates, carding a 62, and Jaylee Humphrey (72), Annie Murphy (74), Natalie Humphrey (64), Miriam Wilson (63), and Molly Matoyoshi (67) rounded out the scores for the Pirates.

“In 40-degree weather and rain our girls still had smiles on their faces walking off that course,” Adna coach Cody Ray said. “For a second year program, we did really well. They had some really good golfers.”

The Pirates head out to Highlands Golf Course for their next match against Hoquiam next week.
