Anniversary announcement: Mike and Mary Kimbrel celebrate 60 years of marriage

Mike and Mary (Rice) Kimbrel will celebrate 60 years of marriage on June 20.  The couple was married at St. Bernadette’s Catholic Church in Seattle on June 20, 1964.

Mary is the daughter of the late Albert and Maria Rice. Michael is the son of John and Ann Kimbrel. The Kimbrel's have 15 children, 13 biological and two adopted. The Kimbrels enjoy spending time with their children, 48 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Mike was a commercial airline pilot for 37 years. Mike enjoys flying his private collection of planes.

Mary enjoyed staying home and raising their family on the family farm in Oakville. They moved between Washington and California for Mike's job before settling down on a 115-acre farm in Oakville.

The couple's children are planning a potluck event to celebrate with all of their friends and family at 3 p.m. on Saturday, June 22, at the family farm in Oakville. Local musician Chris Guenther, who is friends with the family, is scheduled to perform.
