Arbor Health released a statement on Thursday announcing the tentative selection of Kyle Kellum, of Valentine, Nebraska, as CEO, pending negotiations to finalize the offer.

Kellum, who currently serves as the CEO of Cherry County Hospital and Clinics in Valentine, visited Arbor Health facilities during the first week of December and met with staff.

He and his family are former residents of Washington state and look forward to returning to the area.

According to Arbor Health Board Chair Tom Herrin, the board intends to appoint Kellum as CEO on Jan. 25, contingent on finalized negotiations and a signed agreement.

The current CEO, Leianne Everett, gave her notice in June. She has worked for the hospital district since February 2016.

Arbor Health is the parent organization of Morton Hospital, the Rapid Care Clinic in Morton and the primary care clinics in Morton, Mossyrock and Randle as well as a future Packwood clinic.
