The W.F. West girls basketball team’s trip to Ellensburg ended on a sour note on Friday, as the Bearcats struggled mightily in an 84-45 loss to 4A Davis.
The Pirates caught fire from the field early and never let up, shooting 31 for 68 from the field, including 10 for 19 from deep.
Julia Dalan had a good day individually on offense, scoring 25 points, and Kaitlyn Chloupek added five. Joy Cushman, Dilyn Boeck and Lena Fragner all scored four.
The Bearcats (8-2, 3-0 2A EvCo) are off until after New Year’s Day, as they’ll return to play at home against Aberdeen on Wednesday, Dec. 3.
