The W.F. West girls tennis team captured a narrow victory Tuesday at home against Kelso. The Bearcats and Hilanders tied in matches won at 3-3 but the Bearcats were able to break the tie having won in sets 7-6.
First singles: Mari Ceesay (WFW) def. Kelso 6-3, 6-1
Second singles: Kelso def. Emma Hamilton (WFW) 6-3, 6-1
Third singles: Kelso def. Alayna Leal (WFW) 5-7, 6-3, 6-4
First doubles: Laura Yip/Katelyn Wood (WFW) def. Kelso 6-0, 6-4
Second doubles: Emma Weerasinghe/Lillian Hueffed (WFW) def. Kelso 6-3, 6-1
Third doubles: Kelso def. Jaime Bradley/Eli Mittge (WFW) 6-3, 7-6, (7-5)
The Bearcats will take on Centralia for their next match on Wednesday.
