The W.F. West boys soccer team conceded right off the bat Wednesday in Vancouver, before falling 2-1 to 3A Prairie in a non-league showdown.
“They are a great 3A team, but I thought our boys handled the step up in classification really well,” WFW coach Allen Anderson said. “Our legs were definitely tired playing back-to-back nights.”
The Falcons got on the board in the 3rd minute, went into halftime up 1-0, and doubled their lead in the 61st.
W.F. West got its goal in the 72nd minute, with Jeremy Thompson scoring from a direct free kick.
The Bearcats will head the other direction for their next game, taking on Aberdeen on the road Friday.
