“(Rochester) is young and we have some experience,” W.F. West coach Jamie Rakevich said. “The guys got to wrestle and made quick work of it.”
Rochester coach Michael Morales praised Tinoco for battling for six minutes in his 182-pound match, despite the loss.
“He went out there and competed,” Morales said. “We battled. We’re young and went up against a really good team. They set the bar high. You have to see the best to beat the best.”
Rochester is hosting a tournament with Mark Morris, Onalaska, Muckleshoot and Cascade Christian on Saturday.
W.F. West heads to Ridgefield on Saturday.
