Fresh off its first win of the season, the W.F. West volleyball team came back and made it two in a row Thursday, beating Shelton 25-12, 25-27, 25-21, 25-22.

“I am so proud of the work this team put in tonight,” WFW coach Tiffany Alvarado said. “There were multiple moments when the Shelton offense could have stolen our momentum, but (we) rallied right through and kept focus on our game plan.”

Senior Chloe Chloupek led the offense for the Bearcats (2-9. 2-5 2A EvCo) with 10 kills and four aces, while also logging seven digs. Fellow senior Presley Mishler added nine kills.

On defense, Aubrey Prigmore had 21 digs and Lydia Koenig had 14, keeping the Bearcats afloat through a handful of long rallies.

W.F. West will head out to Grays Harbor County next Tuesday for a matchup with Aberdeen.
