In a back and forth match all night, Tenino couldn’t grab the win against Eatonville in a five set loss (24-26, 25-22, 28-30, 25-23, 15-12).
“They played so scrappy, their hustle and communication was the best I have seen in years,” Beavers coach Wanda Blanksma said. “Eatonville had a couple servers that put some mustard on it and caused us some fits in receive. Both teams played really hard.”
Blanksma commended the play of Natalie Davis, Malika Slassi, Brooke Bratton and Bri Asay in the loss. Despite it, though, the Beavers played some of their best volleyball of the season and nearly came away with a win in a wild night for volleyball.
Tenino will look to rebound against Montesano on Thursday.
